Tom Jenkins
The Storm got fuckin bitchslapped by these cunts when they last met, and that was when Melbourne actually had nearly all of their starting players. The Storm are entirely capable of fucking up another team’s week without warning, even when they are hurt… Especially when they are hurt. The poor cunts will probably still get pasted, but not without heavily undermining the Panthers’ whole fuckin deal. So I can see them trying to keep this cunt out in particular, even if they get thrashed again. The data doesn’t give a fuck about their hopes here though. Jenkins is by far the most logical choice for first try scorer on paper when considering his strike rate opposed to the Storms penchant for getting rocked out of the gates by a left winger, however Sportsbet have placed the dreaded bonus odds on Jenkins to get the party started, meaning they know something we don’t. Don’t worry though punters, because I know something they don’t want me to remind you, and that’s the fact that you are entirely capable of betting on Tom Jenkins to score the last try, if you wish…
Casey McClean
The fact that Sportsbet have put the kiss of death on Jenkins for FTS, that makes me feel a lot better about Casey’s potential to nab the first try. The Storm have been fucking hammered by all left side CTW players all year to the tune of 28 tries, and there have been just 6 games where at least one of them hasn’t scored. Add to that the fact that left wingers and centres have scored 7 tries on Melbourne in the last 4 rounds, and I’d say Casey is a pretty fuckin decent point of difference to Jenkins, if you want to swing that way Champions.
Moses Leo/Sua Fa’alogo
Regardless of the fact that the Panthers have been touched up by left wingers like a make-a-wish kid at Neverland Ranch, these two have so far been responsible for scoring 27 tries for the Storm, making them the more logical choice for Melbourne to strike back at Penrith with, and early too, since they have also scored the first try for the Storm a combined 7 times.
Liam Martin
Nobody is so specifically fucked against right second rowers than the Melbourne Storm. They have had 15 fuckin tries put on them by right edge runners, who have also scored the first or last try against Melbourne 6 times so far. The Panthers have recently chucked this rabid hell-hound over for their first try against the Raiders, so they will definitely be trying that shit on with these cunts too.
Tyran Wishart/Cam Munster
The Storm have scored a modest amount of tries through their halves so far this year, probably because they keep getting fuckin injured. The Panthers however, have been fucking torched by opposition halves for 6 tries, including four first and last tries in just the last four fucking games. Look for Wishart in particular to have a red hot fucking go at Jack Cogger’s wafer-like defence.
