NRL ROUND 6 | Sharks Vs Roosters

  • A Sharks Left side CTW scored in all three games against the Roosters in 2025
  • The Sharks have given up 4 or more tries in every game since round 1 this year
  • The Sharks have been scored on every week by a right side CTW
  • Three of those weeks, a right side CTW also scored the first try against the Sharks
  • Sharks right side CTW has scored four tries in the last 3 games
  • Sharks 2RFs have scored five tries in the last two games and nobody doubled up in either
  • Roosters FLB, 2, 5 and 11 all scored in 2 out of 3 games against the Sharks in 2025
  • Roosters have conceded 7 tries in the last three games from Left side CTW
  • Roosters have conceded 5 tries to Fullbacks so far this season
  • Roosters Right side CTW has scored 6 tries in the last three games
  • Roosters have conceded just one try to all starting forwards of any kind

Analysis:

This seems a lot more complicated than it should be. While any team can break out of a trend on any given week, it looks like the data does not support the Sharks in this one. One of the Sharks wings has been woefully shit defensively. I won’t tell you which one, but I can tell you that the names of the Roosters players running at it rhyme with “Lawyer” and “I wanna go to Mars ay”. Add to that, a quarter of the Sharks tries have been scored by their forward pack, while the Roosters have given up just one try to opposition forwards.

Sharks Try Scorers: Will Kennedy, KL Iro/Sam Stonestreet

Roosters Try Scorers: Teddy, Rob Toia/Mark Nawaqanitawase, Angus Crichton

Degen Bets: Toia/Nangs FTS 2+, Kennedy/Hynes FTS, Tupou/Katoa, DCE
