Lehi Hopoate/Tolu Koula
Ignoring the 21 tries the Sharks have already conceded to these two positions, there has only actually been one fuckin games this season where one of them hasn’t scored for Manly. The players in those positions may have changed, but the delivery mechanism remains the same. They have also been responsible for scoring Manly’s first try 9 fucking times this year.
Jesse Ramien/Sione Katoa
Yeah fuck, see these cunts have done 13 fucking tries in their last 6 games, scoring the first Sharkies try in four of them. It certainly would seem to be brown trousers time for the Sea Eagles, who have been dick-punched by these two positions for 6 tries in their last two games.
Burbo
While Haumole Olakau’atu has been on a recent tear, the Sharks are actually pretty fuckin solid against right edge runners, conceding just two tries to them so far. Haumole still has a pretty decent chance of scoring every week considering he’s one of their default attacking options, it’s just that the numbers don’t really back it up this week as much as Burbo. Manly tend to get both edges involved anyway, and the Sharks have been hit 5 times by left edge runners this year including Burbo himself, so that does make him the safest option.
Braydon Trindall/Nicho Hynes
Both these positions got one over Manly last time around. Both these positions are more prolific than your average halves pairing. Nicho wasn’t even playing last time around. At least one of em should get in this time around.
Jason Saab
The Saabinger has been quietly fuckin ripping it up on Manly’s right wing, scoring 7 tries in their last 6 games. I mean, shit, he’s scored a double for the last two weeks in a row. The Sharks have been better than most teams against opposition wingers over the last few weeks, conceding just 3 to each side in their last 6 games, but surviving an onslaught by a team whose wingers have put in 12 during that same period is a pretty big ask for any team.
