Analysis:
If I may speak frankly for a moment; this game should be a fuckin goer, cunts. Just think about all the serial bullshit-try scoring weapons we’ve got going up against each other in this shit. DWZ, AKP, The Hammer, Averillo, Farnworth… just to name a few. Surely we are about to see some mind-bending footy on display this Saturday evening.
The Dolphins have given up double the amount of tries to CTWs that the Warriors have, and both teams have an even distribution on both the left and right side, it’s just that the Dolphins have conceded 16 tries to the Warriors 8. You could probably get on two of the Warriors outside backs to score, but it’s dangerous to choose more than one of the Dolphins, since there have only been two games so far where more than one CTW player scored in a game against the Wahs.
The Dolphins have been dunked on for the last 3 straight games by Fullbacks, and dunked on first by them in their last two. So basically, if Taine Tuaupiki doesn’t score the first try, he probably won’t score in this game at all. If he doesn’t score in this game, then he probably won’t score for the rest of this fucking year. On the other side of the ball, it’s fuckin Hammer time baby. Fullbacks have scored at least three more tries than any other position against the Warriors, it’ll be hard to not trust one of the most prolific try scoring backs in the game to get at least one over.
Where it gets spicy however, is in the forward pack. The Warriors have been cucked by an edge runner for the last four straight games, but in contrast, the Fins have given up FUCK ALL tries to starting forwards, handing just one to each of Manly’s edge runners, and they have played some big scoring forwards in their first six games. BUT… Weirdly the Dolphins have been hit four times off the bench, and that is basically Demetric Vaimauga’s whole fuckin deal. The other weird thing of note up front is that Erin Clark and literally whoever is on the right edge for the Warriors have been scoring tries every other game ‘rabbit season/duck season’ style for the past six straight games. If you would like to keep score at home, it’s currently Kurt Capewell’s turn to cross the stripe this week.
The last thing to note is that the Dolphins have been firmly reamed by opposition halves for the last four games in a row, and the Warriors halves don’t need an invitation to go apeshit on any given week. That’ll do, puntpigs… that’ll do.
